How Does it Work?

  • Phase 1:
    Input

    • 01.

When you have a creative need, you can simply let us know over our Slack channel. We’ll ask you some follow-up questions and give you a timeline.

    • 02.

Once you approve the next creative task, we’ll get started with our team. Possibly sharing some questions and updates along the way.

  • Phase 2:
    Output

    • 01.

On the delivery date, we’ll provide you with final quality work ready to download and start using immediately.

    • 02.

If you have some feedback, no worries! You have an unlimited number of reviews to make sure it’s EXACTLY how you need it.

    • 03.

Once you approve, we’ll get started with the next creative task in the queue!

  • One of the things we really appreciated about MXT from the beginning was how they came in truly wanting to understand our story and how we wanted it to evolve. They got it right away and helped us create this “new Provide.” They were a true partner. It never felt like it was about the money or anything like that. It was about delivering really thoughtful, quality work.

In an effort to create the best experience and value for you, we’ve assembled this list of best practices. Our team at Made By Things is ONLY interested in doing our best work and THIS is how we do it:

Best Practices

Regular Check-Ins

Our team will schedule regular check-ins at the same time each month in the form of a standing meeting. During these meetings, we will review the projects completed over the past month to learn how we can better serve in the future. We will also discuss any upcoming projects and begin working through schedules and priorities. With projects in the queue, we’re able to
create better plans to create high-quality work.

2-Day Request and Review Lead Time

We ask that any project request be submitted at least two business days prior to the required start date of the project. This will give us time to properly ingest the project request, ask any questions, and create a plan to best complete what’s needed. For any notes or feedback on completed work, we request two business days before starting on those changes. We may be able to get to these sooner (depending on schedule as well as scope of changes required), but two days will allow us to create a plan and ask questions to ensure we are making thoughtful and effective updates to a project.

Project Request Forms

To make an official project request, you will be given a simple form that helps keep all work organized and prioritized. This form can be filled out with your team and/or with your MxT producer.

These request forms will include all the information commonly requested during the proposal phase of a project (but in a bite-sized template to keep things simple).

  1. What is the goal of the project?
  2. What are the specs/size/resolution for this project?
  3. What are the deliverables?
  4. Is there a specific timeline for this project?
  5. Who all is involved in this project and who needs to review updates?
  6. Are there any references or sources of inspiration we can review?

Just a Few of Our Partners

  • Who are these plans good for exactly?

✅ Partners that have a constant creative need and many different types of projects.

✅ Small teams looking to level up their creative quality without breaking the bank.

✅ Team leaders that don’t have the time to hand-hold their team and need a partner they can trust.

🚫 Partners with a single one-off project. We can quote these types of projects separately at madebythings.com

🚫 Small teams with tasks due today! We’re pretty fast, but not THAT fast.

  • How fast will I receive items?

We work pretty fast, but each task has a different amount of time it takes to complete, so, we’ll give you a time estimate for each task before getting started. If you need many creative tasks done immediately, this platform may not be the best for you.

  • I need a creative service not listed, can you help?

There’s a great chance we can help with whatever creative need you have. Even if it’s not listed on this page, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

  • Can I talk to the team?

You’ll have a team Producer and Creative Director who you’ll have constant access to in your provided Slack channel. You can also schedule meetings with them at any time if you’d like.

  • Is there a limit to the size of the creative task?

Nope. Some requests might take a day while others could take several weeks. A timeline is provided based on each request.

  • How does licensing work?

Simple, you own everything that’s made unless notified.

  • What if I don’t have any creative tasks at the moment?

You can pause your plan at any time and restart whenever you’re ready.

  • Do you offer refunds?

Due to the nature of our business and managing staff, no refunds are given.

Still not sure if our plans are right for you? Schedule a 30-minute call to learn more about how exactly we’d work together.
