Thought Leadership Content

Thought leadership gives power to a handful of individuals connected to your brand, serving a role similar to that of an ambassador or influencer.

Thought leadership can come in a variety of forms, but everyone loves to place an image and a voice to the words a brand speaks.

Thought leaders engage with audiences and communities not only to sell the brand but to also connect with a greater network that’s actively working within the same field as you. Then, through their connections and following, they become a leader within those networks – uplifting themselves and your brand as the ones everyone should be looking to for forward-thinking ideas and guidance.

Thought leadership can come in a variety of forms, but everyone loves to place an image and a voice to the words a brand speaks. So, we support a video-centered thought leadership approach. We all seem to be stuck in an endless scroll nowadays. But, if you can be a part of the leaders that break up the monotonous scrolling with brilliant content, you can connect with an audience ready to see something different.

New episode of Building Made By Things! (2021) With a bunch of projects going on to start the year, I was AGAIN being spread too thin. After coming up with a list of my tasks, I developed what I called, “Operation Dream Team”. Made up of roles I’d need to hire to get my sanity back. So in addition to the staff animator I already had, I added 4 more people: 1. A Producer/Project Manager 2. Another Animator 3. A 3D Modeling Intern 4. An Art Director Immediately, this redesigned team was firing on all cylinders and we were creating some of the best work we’ve EVER made. For the first time in 7 years, I felt like I was doing what I set out to do. Sure, I wanted to make some money, and we did that pretty well in 2021, doubling what we made in 2020. But the REAL feeling of success came from having a great team around me that could push each other and myself to create something special. This was no longer about surviving for me, this was now about finding ways to thrive as a creative team. We just needed an opportunity to prove what we were capable of. Going into my sixth year (2020) in business, things were looking up… Then, COVID hit… Within days, projects disappeared. Suddenly, my biggest job was changing diapers for my newborn. It seemed like things were falling apart, but when my only employee could tell that things were tough for me, he offered to step away without pay. That moment was all the motivation I needed to figure things out. I cleared my plate to focus and put together an offer too good to refuse, short form stop-motion content. When we sold out of spots for the program, I knew we could make it through to the end of the year. We went from almost closing to needing more help by the end of the year. Revenue was down 14% from 2019, but honestly? It felt like a miracle to still have our doors open. With things stable, it was time for the aggressive push I had been delaying. But…again.. I needed MORE help! See ya next week for Year 7 of Building Made By Things! content marketing docuseries #buildingmadebythings

Not all studios walk their own talk, but we do! Founder and Creative Director Matt Vojacek has been active on social media (particularly LinkedIn) for years (there’s a chance that’s where you found us). So we believe in the power of thought leadership.

Here are some examples of brand films. And you can find more by looking under the “Work” section of our website.
